Keith Richards (1975): No tour in 1974
I can't live without being on the road. Every minute spent off the road I either turn into an alcoholic or a junkie 'cause I've got nothing else to do. It's just a waste of time. I can turn into anything: a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, a psychedelic treat, a Jehovah's Witness, a junkie - anything can happen 'cause I'm not doing THAT.
Can you imagine Keef showing up at YOUR door early one saturday morn.

My older brother was the music buyer in our family so basically I just stole stuff from him. I paid for it in punches and verbal abuse though.
It seems to me that the first 45rpm I bought was Sky Pilot by the Animals. Hard to remember SOOOOOOO far back. Have no idea how that one escaped the family censor either. I think the first actual album was the Stones live "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out". Loved it then, love it now.
Some of you sound like my brother in that you remember clearly when and where you bought things. Kind of creepy if you aks me. lol -

Did anyone mention Flipper? Not the poster, the show. You'd think Flipper would've liked Flipper...and vice versa.

I can't believe no one has mentioned It's About Time or Captain Nice or Mr. Terrific. How about Run Buddy Run! You know, shows that lasted a season or so at most.

Did the WTS actually get it right in 1942?
by Olin Moyles Ghost inrecently in the book study, we discussed revelation 17:8 which says, in part, "the wild beast that you saw was, but is not, and yet is about to ascend out of the abyss, and it is to go off into destruction.
" in chapter 34, paragraphs 4-5, the revelation climax book relates that in september 1942, knorr gave a talk called "peace--can it last?
" in that talk, knorr noted that the league was in the abyss at that time as a result of world war 2. he asked "will the league remain in the pit?

So... What WOULD Jesus Do?
by BabaYaga inthose wwjd phrases everywhere make me smile, because while it is a nice thought, i don't think those who wear "wwjd" on their chests, wrists, or bumpers really get it.
what would jesus do, after all?

What would be on his iPod? Surely not kingdom melodies. But that's just my presumption.
Would he go to college? Or more to the point, would he condemn everyone else for doing so?
What about settling down a bit, you know, would he have a sub-prime mortgage on small fixer-upper where the need is great? -

The wtBtS success has always been limited. They have not attained perfection in anything they've done. You hear it all the time, "well, we're all imperfect." Accordingly, by the WT's own standard, they should shut down the printing presses and close up shop. Lemme hear ya say YEAH!
